Safelite was not able to recalibrate the safety camera on their 1st visit, but did replace the windshield. On the second visit, the tech let me know that the camera had been damaged by their equipment and would need to be replaced. We had to bring the car to Safelite for the 3rd try because they told us the recalibration had to be done at their location. They installed a new camera, but still could not recalibrate it. WA state. NO STARS! I was told I had to be available for a 4 hour window. The tech called but when I answered they hung up and didn't say anything. I called after the 4 hour window of time had expired and was told that the tech called me 7 times, this was a lie. they called 3 times and never said a word to me. Told me I had to reschedule for another 4 hour time frame. this is completely unacceptable. Safelite repaired a small pebble chip on my windshield, which looked fine immediately, but the repair caused a stress fracture at the site of repair within a few days. The online ad says Safelite “guarantees” repairs however they do not. Even though their repairs caused the stress fracture they will only give a credit for replacing the entire window. They will not refund money and we feel deceived. Could they be causing stress fractures in order to get customers to pay for an entire new window?

Had a reservation 2 weeks ahead of time. Received multiple emails reminding me of appointment. I arrive 15 min early confirm work to do done and said I would be back later. 2 hours later I return to check status if my car. I am told that don’t have the windshield and they said tried to call me. No calls were made to my phone. Complained to corporate office and I was told a District Manager would contact me. It’s been over 24 hours and no call from Manager.

I had a power rear window replaced in a truck by Safelite. About 8 months later driving down the road it cracked where the heating element attached to the glass. In the summer heat it only took a matter of hours before the crack had fanned out and shattered. No worries though Safelite has a lifetime guarantee on quality and craftsmanship. That is a lie, they refused to warranty the window, even though clearly the break came from the heating element. I took my 2017 Acura MDX to replace the front windshield. They replaced it with a third party windshield and not the OEM windshield which resulted in errors from our windshield mounted camera. Called customer service and insurance company and they agreed to replace with OEM glass. After taking the car into the shop in the morning, received a call mid-afternoon that they had started on the repair but needed me to come to the shop to show me something. So I went to the E. Cheyenne location in Las Vegas NV to get my windshield replaced and it ended up getting replaced for them not to be able to recalibrate it because there were a bunch of codes coming up, so I took it to the dealer for them to clear the codes to find out they couldn't because there might be a glare on the windshield.
