When my windshield was cracked for the second time in 2 years, I thought it would be much easier this time to use Safelite as that was who my insurance recommended. The last time it happened I went through my dealership, and it was a hassle to get them to accept the direct insurance compensation. I was told that the amount to replace my windshield would be $460.11 yet when I was billed it was for $726.22. My main concern was that it needed to be under $500.00 due to my insurance. Under $500.00 is a small claim over it's considered a large claim. The service dept. said that my windshield could not be calibrated by the tech and I needed to take it to a dealership. Got our windshield repaired while it was in the car shop and when it was installed the seal molding was placed to far to the driver side when my husband raised the hood it caused pressure on the glass and caused it to crack. Even though it was an installation issue Safelite blamed the car shop and claimed it’s not covered under warranty. Now we are having to pay out of pocket for a new windshield. Safelite would be the absolute last place I would recommend using .

I had a drop and go appointment. They told me they would call when it was ready. I never received a call. When I talked to them on the phone I was informed it was probably because the job wasn’t finished. I asked if I could leave for my car for it to be finished the next day. They said no; I had to make a new appointment. A rep called to schedule. I was given an appointment over a week out, and when I showed up to that appointment they informed me that none of the techs able to do that work were scheduled for that time.

This is a review of Safelite overall, not a specific location. As an autobody shop owner who installs and replaces automotive glass I would like to state that we and most other shops have ceased to accept referrals from Safelite. They have been playing middle man by handling the billing and payment for major auto insurance companies and they have taken most if not all profit our of replacing glass as an autobody shop. Poor customer service. Scheduled & paid at home repair, plus early appointment, and they never showed up, I finally called and they said they don’t service my area, but they have been here before, and when I entered my zip code on their website it directed me to that store. Never again.

I had my windshield replaced by Mario 4/4/22. When I set up the appointment I let the lady know I had a tint strip on my windshield. There was no tint strip on the replacement window. I told the tech who had no valid response. This is an important feature living in hot and sunny Az. The tech did not properly reinstall my wiper blades so they hit each other when used. I attempted to call multiple times but could not get through since it recognized I recently had a replacement and referred me to the website. I left a voicemail... read more

Started with home appointment to replace windshield on my Range Rover. They were unable to replace the window because it was due for a servicing and had that notification on the system. I think they should have known about that ahead of time and asked. I rescheduled at my home and they brought a windshield that had a damage in it. First time having to repair a windshield for rock damage through USAA which I have been with for 19 years. They have a contract with safelite which took me to their website. I scheduled an appointment on their online website and was contacted back by a rep stating they had to order the windshield first. I was rescheduled for 6-9-23 between the hours of 8-5 (a Friday).
