This is a company that will not stand behind their products! We purchased a $10k rug from them and it's shredding non stop. This rug was purchased to be used in our children's play room. Our children are asthmatic and the loose fiber certainly is not good for them! RH's response to this defective rug was: we destroyed the rug by using Dyson carpet attachment. This is just absurd! Honestly I do second that their customer service is HORRIBLE. We have many furniture from them and we keep giving them second chances but it keeps getting worst with every order. Now, we have ordered a 20k couch and the sales person did a mistake with the color blaming us that the color is discontinued and we should have looked at the order she placed. Even tho we trusted her knowledge and showed her a leather swatch of the exact color we wanted. Why do they even put on the display a color that is discontinued !!!! She didn’... read more
I’m an interior designer and work with many suppliers. Although I love the style and quality of the furnishings, their customer service is atrocious. I ordered $20k worth of furniture in May, and the complete order has yet to arrive. The sofa has been ready to ship to us for a month, but customer service cannot/will not put in the effort to coordinate the final transaction and delivery. We are on the phone with them at least twice a week. Do not put yourself through the headache and frustration. It’s not worth it.

To pay $25,000 for dining furniture - and it arrives UNSANDED - and I mean COMPLETELY UNSANDED - to wear I couldn't even clean it. Could not use even steel wool -it snags too bad. It used up a piece of Extra Fine sand paper on just one shelf. Requires you sand with Fine- med sand paper to be able to sit on the chairs - @$500/piece without getting splinters in your legs. Worst experience ever! First delivery scheduled and after waiting the whole delivery window, my wife calls to see where the delivery is and they tell her the furniture is damaged. Now I’m sitting here on my day off and the delivery men said the furniture won’t fit thru the door. I’m looking at the door and furniture and can see it does fit but they only have two men and it’s too heavy for only two guys. RecommendedYes it’s top quality furniture and great service, but today I discovered Restoration Hardware is also a values based company. We visited yesterday looking for a patio set and in the middle of everything I set my purse aside and left without it. Later that evening I called the store to see if anyone had turned in my purse. Happy ending I’m here this morning finding out one of the stores employees found my purse and turned it in. My drivers license, credit cards and an envelope containing $2000 in cash intact.
