I have been using the Renogy MPPT/DC to DC 50amp charger/controller for almost a year. Suddenly, the DC to DC side of it has stopped working and is no longer charging. I called and explained the issue, and the first thing they asked was what brand of battery I'm using. The moment I mentioned a different brand, they automatically assumed that their product was fine and gave advice to call the battery manufacturer. "Free shipping in ******." Says their web site and advertisements. Absolute BS. first order was free, second order they want $154 to ship. a small item to me. I inquired with *********** who quoted me $22 dollars for same weight package, same route. **************** is certainly not helpful, they stopped responding without answering my questions. .False advertisement. Very poor customer service in regards to refunds.I purchased some solar panels from them and ended up changing the order to a different item. I was assured the refund would not be an issue and a straight reimbursement would be made to my credit card, which has not happened since more than two month.A snippish woman usually answers the phone telling me that it has been taken care of long time ago,which it has not.All this hassle over a $1000 and the next step of taking them to court is annoying.What do they think? I have to agree with the posts regarding customer support. I have been waiting for more than 2 weeks for a battery to arrive. I have left several messages requesting a tracking number or an update. I have not received a response from Renogy. Renogy did not hesitate to process the payment though......

I purchased 6 pieces of Renogy hardware for my RV solar system. To date (8/26/23) 3 of them have failed. I am a degreed engineer also with 20 years experience as an electrician. I would advise anyone to steer clear of any Renogy product.

Wow, customer support is indeed sub-par. I had a problem with a non-working cable for a system. Support people did not seem to understand the problem, even when I had diagnosed it myself, sent them pictures of they system with a multimeter showing the power was not going from the battery to the controller. Sent them a picture of the cable that needed replacing. They remained confused. Sent an email to customer support - got email back saying that email was no longer functional. Found a phone number. Do not buy from Renogy. Do not buy their batteries. They are low quality and Renogy is absolutely impossible to deal with. There is a reason why they sell their products for so cheap, it because they are.

Have nothing bad to say about the products. But the customer service is a JOKE at best. My company has been a RENOGY dealer for over a year. My sales rep is in China and will only correspond vie email. Pricing structure depends on the time of day and temperature. Usually I cant get straight answers at to delayed shipping. Left with no answers for my customers who have usually spent many thousands of dollars for RENOGY products. Poor customer service more than negates good products. Customer service does not exist. I made an order, and cancelled it prior to it shipping on 07/06/23. Emailed support who confirmed order had been cancelled and refund would take 7-10 business days. It’s now 08/17/23 and I still have not been refunded. Reaching out to support gets me a basic “we will contact the correct team to process your refund”. I’ve reached out multiple times. Hard to understand how a refund takes 6 weeks to process.
