Our rescue pet was diagnosis with severe allergies, but PetFirst deemed it pre-existing.
RecommendedI got this insurance when I adopted my dog, Siri. Luckily, we kept it as she developed an allergy with expensive tests and medicine. PetFirst has great response and fast claims adjustments. They are also very friendly. I called to get insurance for my mom's dog and they were so nice, made good suggestions for me and were / are very helpful.
PetFirst reviewed and paid my claims quickly when my dog was diagnosed with cancer. I thought they would try to cancel my policy when the renewal landed right in the middle of his chemotherapy treatment. However they renewed the policy as planned and continued to pay for his treatments. When our dog unfortunately passed away a short time later, PetFirst refunded most of the insurance premium for the renewal period, even though they had already paid out over half of the policy limit. I would definitely use PetFirst again.
Pet First customer service is wonderful and they are very quick with all our claims Glad we found them our dog Mack has a ongoing promblem with low throidissim he will have the rest of his life Thank You Petfirst have recommed pet first to a friend

I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!! I have called three times to cancel and somehow the “cancellation email” never comes through. Not only have we never used the policy, now they will not let me get rid of it.
