I decided when I got my new puppy that I should get insurance. I decided to add the routine care package to the policy. Submitting the claims for his care has been very easy and received reimbursement within a few days of the claim being reviewed. I am very happy with the company!
PetFirst has helped me with Gwen all through her life. Their GSD premiere pack from 2018-2020 helped take care of medical bills, so we could focus on fun doggie tricks, games, and balls and tummy rubs. Call them with any questions, they walked me through all of the care they have when I was having trouble deciding how to take care of my GSD. They made me feel like family.
We've had a great experience with PetFirst. Payment is quick and the claim submission process is pretty easy. With a new kitten with no known health issues, we opted for the routine care plan along with accident and illness. We unfortunately lost our kitten to FIP, but it was a relief to know that we could run the necessary tests to ensure we made the best decision for our furr-baby without worrying too much about the cost. We will definitely purchase another plan when we are ready to bring home a new kitten.
My PetFirst insurance came in very handy when my cat got ringworm. They covered all vet visits, medication, etc. so it saved me a ton of money. Do not use this insurance! They are not covering you. They tell lies and then do not back up the plan. They are backdoor shady!
Highly disappointed in this company. I've been a policy holder for my dog since 2010 and I received a renewal notice today that my premium will be jumping from $60 p/m to $227 p/m for $1000 coverage! I've been a customer for 10 years and barely had to use the policy...however, when my dog is a senior and probably needs it most, they make the policy unaffordable. It's pretty gross.
