HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE After 12 years with what used to be Per First I found myself at a MetLife hands. This is insurance scam. Pet first used to cover my dogs. MetLife is declining every claim under excuses for “ medical records needed”. We just lost dog since I wasn’t confident in insurance. I used to recommend Pet First to my clients in past but I would highly recommend to stay away from MetLife.

The coverage is fine and fair, but their customer service agent Robin needs to learn some social skills, and maybe get a new phone so that clients can actually hear her.

I absolutely wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this company. I only had a free 30 day trial and it was a mess from the beginning. They lied about what was covered and when I asked specifically if I could take my dog in only to find out later the claim had been denied because of a 14 day waiting period that I was never made aware of. I’d never have started it had I known I wouldn’t be able to do anything till half way through my trial. They kept saying things were never sent that I did send and they were dragging out the proces... read more

I have been a customer since 2012. Every time my dogs needed surgery, PetFirst made the claim process fast, easy and stress free. Reimbursement is quick and I couldn’t be happier with this company. If you love your pets and want to make sure you give them the best care without having to worry about costly procedures, diagnosis or surgery, I would highly recommend investing in an insurance policy for peace of mind for you and your pet.

PetFirst was great when I first signed up 4 years ago, but things have gone steadily downhill with the new ownership. I am routinely waiting months instead of weeks for reimbursement, and now have been informed that my monthly premium is going from $97 to $200! Absolutely outrageous- stay far away from this company!

Customer service is terrible. Canceled my policy, and they still took out the money. Then they tried to blame me for not doing what I was suppose to do. I filled out everything I needed to and still got charged and now I have to wait two days to talk to a supervisor!? Unprofessional.
