I flew in from Dallas and stayed with my grandfather at the hospital for 3 days in the Step Down unit. They made sure I had everything thing I needed including a place to take a shower. (My grandfather’s room didn’t have one.). All the doctors and nurses I encountered were patient in explaining his conditions and honest with his prognosis. I want to thank the staff at MacNeal Hospital’s Transitional, Step Down, ICU, and Seasons Hospice Units for the compassion, diligence, empathy, & love they showed to my grandfather and to ... read more

My daughter was hospitalized at this facility for asthmatic symptoms. The treatment she received was horrific. They are careless and truly not equipped to treat children. There was an incident in which a resident failed to connect to tubing to administer oxygen but spend several minutes connecting the nasal cannula. There was a lot of back and forth in regards to proper (or the best) treatment options for my daughter.
