I was guided here from our bank to help build our credit, well I was not going to be paying $109 a month plus the $14.99 for a credit check. The asked me for all my info first, then read the legal documents to me, then they gave me the prices. I told them no thank you and to cancel my account and do not charge me. Well low and behold they charged me. the $14.99 then that cause an overdraft fee. I called the company to ask for a refund and they told me after pulling my account and phone records up that it was non-refundable. ... read more

Business response:

Lexington receives the initial TransUnion credit report from a third party for the price of $14.99 before a person becomes a client. This allows Lexington to review the entire credit report with the client and determine if the client wants to proceed to sign to engagement agreement to allow Lexington to represent her. In reviewing this client’s call, she authorized Lexington to pull this credit report so Lexington could review it with her. Lexington did not charge this client any fees as she terminated representation shortly... read more

It "appears" that this firm is associating with rent to own home companies that are less then above board. When you ask questions about this, you are initially denied access to those in charge. You are then switched to someone who states they are an attorney, but refuses to give you a bar number or even a full name. SHADY!

Business response:

Lexington Law Firm assists its client in ensuring the items listed on their credit reports are an accurate portrayal of their credit history. Some clients are transferred to Lexington from financial or other institutions as part of the client’s attempt to obtain credit, a job, or a home or apartment, but are held back by the negative items on their credit reports. Lexington can challenges the accuracy of these items with the credit bureaus and the creditors under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Although people may be referred... read more

We used them for 5 months and during that time they only sent 1 letter to our creditor. No follow-up or action done on their end. I'm embarrassed I kept them for so long. Do not use this service. Assuming at one point there will be a class action lawsuit against them for misleading the public on their services.

Business response:

Lexington Law Firm assists clients in challenging negative items directly with the bureaus and sending letters on clients’ behalf to creditors. The number of letters Lexington can send to creditors varies based on the number of negative items on an individual’s credit report. The fewer number of negative items on a credit report will result in fewer letters sent to creditors. Lexington can challenge the item directly with all three credit bureaus to ensure the item is being reported fairly and accurately under the Fair Credi... read more

They will say anything to you to intice you into starting business with them. Lies include how quickly they can fix up your credit (i was told one month, one month and then i can cancel my subscription or account with them so i wouldn't have to pay the next month's fee (that is ACTUALLY what the woman who sold me said to me)) and the fact that they give refunds if you are unhappy with the services they provide (which i was unhappy, because my credit was not cleared and it's been one month, like she said). The second individu... read more

Business response:

Lexington is unable to make promises to clients about how long it would take to fix one’s credit as the items listed on a credit report are placed there at the request of the creditor and/or the discretion of each credit bureau. Lexington assists its client by making sure those items being reported are fair, accurate, and verifiable and should legally be permitted to be on the report under the guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Because Lexington has no direct control over the addition or deletion of those items it ... read more

My wife and I signed up with Lexington for about 3 months with high expectation. We were Very Disappointed with their services. The recruiter/sale person was believable. They did remove 6 items on my credit report and 2 of those were put back on my credit report. I believe they were able to remove 1 item on my wife's credit report in a 3 month time frame. They charge for sending letters, so clever. I don't mind paying with result. Sales man is good, lots of yeses to get the sale. Hopefully they'll let me make payments on the... read more

Business response:

Lexington Law Firm represents clients in order to ensure the negative items on their credit reports are fair, accurate and verifiable. Lexington does this by sending letters directly to creditors on clients’ behalf and challenging items directly with the bureaus. Some clients see more success than others as each case differs, which is one reason why Lexington is unable to guarantee any specific outcomes. We are pleased Mr. ***** was able to see items removed from his case. Credit repair is not something that can be done quic... read more

I will never use lexington law. was talked in to it sounded good. asked alot of questions about it and told they were top rated in the country. when trying to cancel them we got the run around and the fast talk about trying to lower our price and stay longer. and that they help so much so far. no they have not things removed from my credit report are things i personally resolved by righting letters. i even asked how they would help for something i do myself for free. they said they do it faster and make sure it is right. wel... read more

company took my money without consent without completing services they failed to perform...They falsely advertised saying they would remove items from credit report but charged me before any progress was made would not give me a refund and continue to bill me after i canceled my service

Business response:

In order for a person to become a client of Lexington, he or she must sign an engagement agreement and agree upon the payments to be made in exchange for the services rendered by Lexington. After Mr. ******** engaged Lexington to represent him, Lexington began sending letters to his creditors and challenging negative items with the credit bureaus. Lexington does not and cannot charge based on results or progress of one’s case. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act, Lexington only charges for its services after they have ... read more

Lexington Law was misleading in the cost of their services. I was told I would receive a monthly discount for signing up with someone else. I received the discount for the initial payment. The next month I was charged the full price and I was told I was given the wrong information. That first month my card was charged a month and a half. I was given the option to receive a credit or refund. I chose the credit, big mistake. I was over charged the next month and was told I wasn't owed a credit. I cancelled my contract with the... read more

Business response:

Lexington offers a discount when two clients begin Lexington’s service together. This discount is half off the first fee that is paid to Lexington, which represents the cost to set up a client’s case, obtain other credit report, begin credit coaching, receive identity theft insurance, and other online tools. This discount does not continue for each monthly service fee. Lexington bills client in accordance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act and collects payments for its monthly service fees after the work has been compl... read more

Business response:

Mr. ****** was referred to Lexington because, as it appears, he needed assistance to address the negative items on his credit report. The call in which Mr. ****** engaged Lexington to represent him was reviewed and verified that on several occasions the representative from Lexington let him know he was speaking with Lexington and described Lexington’s services. The representative also told Mr. ****** what he needed to do if he wanted to terminate the relationship. Mr. ****** had also been with Lexington previous to this inst... read more
