I was interested in a 2022 **** Explorer ST and placed a deposit with this dealership on April 1st, 2025 only to be hit with $5,600 in hidden fees not listed anywhere in the online listing. On March 20th, I went to Kia Parkside specifically looking to purchase an all wheel drive (AWD) vehicle due to the safety features the AWD possess and I’m a single mother of two small children and a nurse and must travel in icy/snowy conditions when present. I hope they don't treat everyone like they did my wife and I as they offered a super low number for trade, and salesmen will try telling you to just refinance in 4-6 months. That you can 100% do that and that I have to work with him on the numbers when they offered 500$ for my trade and wouldn't lower the car's price even 1$. Took my car in to have the check engine light checked. They came back saying it was the catalytic converter and that it would cost $4000. They first tried saying the cost was due to the rare minerals used in the parts and then was told the $3k for the part was the insurance company price. I asked what is the price if I am not using insurance and they still said $3k for the part and $1k for labor. No catalytic converter for a 2019 Kia Soul costs $3k. They sold me a car last June that was a lemon from the start. It finally blew the head casket and is now worthless. I went back in to see if they would take possession of the car and find me a nice used car. They sold me what I thought and was told had been serviced and was in great condition. My wife and I met to purchase a carnival. We walked in and showed them our pre approved interest rate from our credit union. During the sales process, they told us that they did not have room to negotiate so they asked what we needed to pay to get the deal done. We told them and we agreed on a price.
