I filed my 2019 taxes using TurboTax like I usually do. This year however I had to pay for the deluxe edition because of something that affected my federal returns, but not my state returns. I should have only had to pay for the federal return delux upgrade, but instead TurboTax forces you to buy both the federal and state upgrades. I had to pay for a service that I did not need because they do not have any option to separate upgrading your services between your federal and state returns. And to make matters worse, when I ca... read more

I've used turbo tax for the past 8 years and will never use again after this year. The Most basic student loan interest form is no longer allowed to be included in the free addition which affects SO many people. First it says you just pay $40 for deluxe. Then at the end they tell you it will be $40 for federal AND $40 for state. Then right before you click file there's an additional $40 fee just for getting direct deposit of your refund (I believe this was their reason), for a total of $120 for my simple return which I have ... read more

The state package is incomplete. It does not generate state required schedules for my situation.

I am legally blind, and I have successfully used Turbo Tax in the past. However, this year, after I paid 180 to file my federal, they charged me an additional $50 to file my state taxes. Mind you, I had no additional documents, and I was unable to get Turbo Tax customer service to reverse the charge because they said I had already filed. I should not have been charged this additional $50. Very shady and not very cool for someone that is legally blind.

Intuit is the parent company of a lot of services that are used in American business which, when referring to Quickbooks, is a scary thought. I have been working at my new job for almost a month and when I was suppose to get my first paycheck on a Thursday there was nothing in my account. My information had been giving to my company and to Quickbooks as of January 31st so one would assume by February 21st they would have this all set up. The fact of the matter is they didn't and I didn't get my paycheck. When I called and my... read more

I heard about quick books and went online to see their deals before Thanksgiving 2019. They had a try a month free offer which i subscribed. I spent 30 hours reconciling transactions and before the end of the expiry of the promotion tried to subscribe. They had a 70% off promotion if we subscribed. I called them cause when i tried subscribing it would tell me to pay $70 per month. I did not want the plus plan and a basic would work for me. Anyways they convinced me to buy the essential plan which was $40 a month. I asked the... read more

My business had a merchant account for POS swipers with Intuit. Good luck finding a competent or empowered person to talk with if you have an issue. We had a merchant account with no monthly fee and then they suddenly starting debiting our account $20 a month with no notification. It took time to figure out where the Intuit charge was coming from, and then because the account was inactive, I had to figure out how to cancel it (which they make VERY difficult!). Tons of hoops, took 5 calls and over an hour. Even after cancelli... read more

I will not use TurboTax again. This year I used their app to complete and file my taxes. When they ask you to choose which plan you would like to use, I chose Deluxe as it said it included state tax returns. When I got to the end to check out, I had to pay an additional $40 for my state taxes on top of the cost of the Deluxe plan and was unable to go back to the basic version. When I then chose to have the fees taken out of my return and went to check out, the charged an additional $40 for that convenience. I was thankfully ... read more
