They SUCKED! They make taking your money very easy. BUT, you cannot cancel. You MUST call them and wait for an hour. All of their emails are 'no response.' At this point, they swear that my subscription has been cancelled (had to climb the corporate ladder for that one). However, I am still getting emails to update my payment information so they can bill me. Their email threatens to continue hitting my account. I now have no way to contact them. TurboTax and Green dot cards are toxic. After filing my return they stated 5-10 business days to receive my card. 3 week go by and nothing delivered to me. Called customer support and they provide no other way to access funds other than sending another card and charging you a fee for the new card. The green dot account is a checking account and they cannot do a bank transfer? what kind of bank does not offer any other means to access funds other than a debit card that never gets delivered. If i could put zero stars I would. I have used Turbo tax for years and this will be my last! I decided due to unexpected family issuss to get the Turbo tax adavnce through green dot and all i can say what a scam and a complete disaster! The "Temporary card" the issue for online purchases cannot be used anywhere and the few transaction i was able to complete are now in funding reversal! On Feb 2, 2020 I paid Turbo Tax $140.00 to file my 2019 taxes. After completing my Federal and State taxes and having them reviewed by their tax experts 3 times they told me it was ok to file them. I efiled my taxes. Then I reviewed my efiled 1040SR form. I was sure something was wrong. I immediately contacted Turbo Tax and I pointed out my concern. They said, yes it was wrong. Signed up with quickbooks online accounting and payroll software. After going through the setup and running our first payroll I got a notice that all our direct deposits had been cancelled and they needed more bank information, despite already providing this. I submitted the required info, and after a week on the phone I finally found someone who was able to tell me that they had terminated our account and would not be turning it back on but could not say why.
