I'm giving two stars because I used their Online Payroll product for years. It was pretty good although sometimes confusing. I no longer have employees and cancelled the service. I verified that the account was closed and that I no longer had access to it. However, my credit card was still billed for the service. I called; the only phone options led me to technical service; I had to insist on being transferred to their billing department as the rep on the phone wanted me to hang up and call the same technical service number ... read more

DECEPTIVE charging. I went through the free e-file process on their website, which forced me to upgrade to the Deluxe package to continue. They insisted the Deluxe package was needed to file because of my HAS. They deceived me to thinking my tax payment would be less if they filed an unnecessary form (it was not even entered on any part of the final filing). There was no way of moving forward to file my return without this form, according to the site. I lost $60 to them. NEVER AGAIN TurboTax!

Do NOT let their MINT budget online software into your email or bank account. I have requested my account be closed, they claimed (and this was BEFORE the quarantine) it takes a full month before they are able to cancel the account - after a month I canceled again. In the meantime htey continued going into my checking and sending me emails about balances and bill due dates - until I was forced to change the password ** my bank account since I did not want them in. They constantly try to increase your payment to them..They will switch you from the free file, to one of the filings that cost , twice during the program, if you dont catch, you are locked in to pay the up charge. The most upsetting, is they lock you into a screen where you can not get out unless you agree to a FREE credit report. Why would they care about my credit so much that I cant decline the offer or I cant proceed to filing if I dont agree or cant back out? I have been working months and have spent over 40 hours (I have lost count, actually) emailing, calling, and messaging to get several tax issues fixed and they can't seem to figure out their own system. They have stolen hundreds from us because of their careless mistakes, not to mention how many thousands of dollars they have cost me by making me repeat myself over and over again instead of running my company. It is a Nightmare receiving my payments that my customers paid me. I've been processing payments with Intuit for over 4 years and now they have issues depositing money in my bank account. No one can answer my questions and I've spent one day trying to resolve whatever documents they need to verify my company and me. Every time I speak to someone they are requesting a different document. They only hold my large payments. I complied, thinking that the repeating $60 price advertised was the final price (Deluxe is Fed+State*). Apparently the asterisk is an extra $50. But you do not see this charge happen until you have literally already had your credit card charged. I wanted to voice my disgust with the unscrupulous way that Turbo Tax is conducting their business. I just received an e-mail indicating that since my tax return was still pending from March that Turbo Tax was going to deduct $60 from my account.
