I had an issue with missing data all of the sudden so when I called Intuit they said they would have to upgrade me to the new edition for $698 so in order to get assistance. Magically after I paid the money and upgraded my data returned. I asked what are the new features with the upgrade and was told there are none and when I get my e-mailed receipt it was for $828.48 not $698.00. I have been using quickbooks and merchant services for about 1.5 yrs. I have had multiple problems with the lack of customer service. I have had issues with changing my phone number and bank account with merchant services. Every time I have called, either it is an automated message saying to contact us through the website or the person I am speaking with has no knowledge and cannot help. I am very disappointed in this company. I used Intuit without incident for years but this past month the Intuit Online Payroll duplicated my checks to my contractors. This resulted in me losing over $10,000. There was no explanation given by Intuit. They only offer "chat" for customer service now. This resulted in the situation getting more confused. I was contacted by a representative from Right Networks. I have been a customer of Lacerte for about 30 years and have been very pleased with the product and technical support. I have been a CPA for nearly 40 years. I have a small office. After looking at my network and the size of the data that needed to be uploaded, I was told by the rep at Right Networks it would take 4-8 hours and then I would be operational. USERS BEWARE! ONCE YOU SIGNED UP, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION! I've been trying for month to cancel my subscription, since I'm no longer using their services. Turbo Tax put in the wrong 2018 AGI for me and would not correct it even though I repeatedly put the correct number in. They gave zero help when I called their help desk and when I tried to print out my tax return to send it in my mail they gave me incomplete data. Complete waste of money and time and now I'm filing my taxes late thanks to them. DO NOT USE TURBO TAX.
We have been a business customer of Intuit/Quickbooks for 23 years. Recently our data file was determined (by QB), to be damaged. Quickbooks asked we upload our file to their Data Services division for review and repair. It took 5 days just for the case to be assigned to a technician. Intuit Quick Books may be a king of a product type, but the customer support is SO BAD I am shopping around for alternative products again. I was double billed, when set up by a small business rep, for a desktop and online product, of same function, at the same time. I was then overcharged for the online products I am using, when bulk pricing did not renew.
