I've used TurboTax for 10 years and after this year me and my family will not use them anymore. It's been 36 days since I filed taxes. Every time I've called I get a run around. They could at least give information on why TurboTax users are not receiving their refund but everyone I know that uses H&R Block or other companies received theirs in less than 2 weeks. I've filed with TurboTax a few times now and have only had minor issues, like them agreeing to deduct their service fee out of my tax refund but instead charging my debit card before I even receive my refund. HOWEVER, they messed up big time this time around and refuse to own up to it. I was on the phone for two hours because the turbo tax disc would not work in my computer. They took my information twice and still no refund. The company sucks
I paid extra so they would provide audit and post-file support. They literally do not answer the phone. I waited an hour. There is no way to request a call back or leave a message. I wasted $100 to buy the support feature. I don't recommend the service. It's very poor
Ok, bottom line is the product is not very good and Customer Service is horrible. First, I spent 5 hours over 2 days total trying to get my download for a Mac instead of the PC version they sent. Fine, I finally got it sorted out and did my taxes. I e-filed them and printed a copy. I then wanted to save a PDF version to my computer and there is no save function anywhere in the program they downloaded for me. Turbotax is a good app to use, but the turbo card is the worst for customer service. Some how my taxes got put on a card that I never received from turbotax. When found out where it went I called and fought with customers service for 4 days and the only help that they offer was to send a new card and waiver the fee for sending a new card. I will never use turbo card ever again.
Have been using Turbo Tax for several years now due to ease of use and simple filing at low cost. However this year there are several hidden fees that were either almost mandatory (MAX benefit or I could not claim a certain deduction), or not revealed until the very end and I could not back out and did not know the total cost until too late to reverse. I paid for Turbo Tax Premier / Live which promises access to Tax experts. When I had issues this year, I asked to speak with a Tax Expert, all I got was support staff. My requests to deal with an actual tax expert were ignored. I paid hundreds of dollars in fees for nothing.
Would give zero stars. TurboTax screwed up millions of returns- forcing people to enter incorrect stimulus info on their taxes which have now delayed those returns. And they are not accepting responsibility nor helping.
