I signed up for quickbooks online on 4/13/21 and quickly realized that the program is buggy and has poor functionality for what I need it for. I cancelled it on 4/31/21. Then I was charged on 5/13/21 and 6/13/21. After finally getting ahold of a real person, I was told there was no record of me canceling the service. I have used Turbotax for 3 years now, and this will be the last year. My income taxes have been on hold now, for almost 2 months,.Today they decided to go ahead and debit my account for their money,but I am still waiting on mine. I am done with Turbotax. They obviously do not care about their customers at all.
They have big problems with Support (or lack thereof) and bugs in the software that are never fixed. I've spent six hours trying to get support for covid coding on employees. I cannot even get someone who knows anything about payroll. They also have a major bug in their software. I found it, reported it, and they said they did that on purpose. Here is the bug. Absolutely the most terrible company!! I have been battling charges for the last year for something I have never signed up for. I have never used quick books our any of their services. When you call, no one will help you. All they ask for is your credit card information. You will sit on hold for hours on hours to get nothing fixed.
This company refused to give me my money back despite never using their service. Customer representatives directed me to a link where I could request a refund. I was denied because I had used an online platform to purchase the product. I did not see this disclaimer and I do not understand how I can be charged for a service that I did not use. I am out $110. I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get my taxes filed.
I have had to call Quickbooks numerous times in the last few month about the same issues (called 4 times and used support chat 2 times in a matter of 48 hours). I am being billing incorrectly and locked out of my account. Issues began approximately 6 months ago when multiple Self Employed accounts were canceled by Quickbooks in error. This company deserves less than one star. Have every year been unrightfully charged by them. When I request my refund it takes over 3 weeks to get an answer. Then when I finally do I wait 4-8 weeks to receive my refund. This company is a scam with a high attitude problem as well. I am never using them again. Be warned especially with the multiple law suits against them.
They are not upfront with their pricing and claim that it's a guaranteed free filing of your taxes for both state and fed. This is far from the truth. Once you come to the end, big surprise they want to charge me $150 just to file. $40 was the fee just to pay with my return and it was not stated that their would be a $40 fee. My total return is only $870. I'm literally broke and make less that $25,000 a year and this is how turbotax treats everyone. TurboTax over charged me. I asked for the charge to be taken out of my ax return refund but no they took it out of my checking account. They took $140 out of my account and I NEVER signed up for anything that was over the Deluxe package deal. I have tried to get refunded for the sneaky extra charges that I never agreed to and they will not refund me my money.
