Turbo Tax online. Started free, then they charged over $100 to process. They gave the option of paying by credit card, or paying from my tax return which includes a $39 processing fee, I tried repeatedly to use my credit card but it would not process, forcing me to pay from my tax return and give them an additional $39. I feel they ripped me off by not letting me use my credit card.
Promises of free filing and getting the most back. I filed a month early for my 2021 taxes - Federal and State both received and had to pay. Part of the "service" that TurboTax provides is that you can set up an electronic payment to pay your taxes. Set up April 17, 2022 - one day before - to pay my taxes. Customer service is no help at all. They hang up on you, give you a wrong number, or when you do talk with someone they have no idea how to help you. Garbage!
I have multiple states to file my taxes. Turbotax charges for each additional state. When I go file, they do not accept my credit card info. No matter what I do, it will not accept. There is no email address to contact, the phone line is impossible to get through, I now have to file a paper copy. Tubotax is unresponsive and there is no where to get satisfaction. I am at a loss and beyond frustration with this company.
their so called FREE service is nothing more than a bait and swtich operation, you think you opting for 1 service, and then end up charging you almost 100 $ for their so called "free" service, will NEVER use them again
I have been using QuickBooks Pro since it first came out in the 1990's. I prefer the desktop version because I don't care to have everything stored on the "Cloud". A few years ago I purchased a 2019 version to replace the old program I had been using. I would not be complaining, however the software has not improved much and it just seemed like a waste of my money. Dishonest! Bought $90 tax prep software which promised free e-file. On the last page, a $25 mandatory fee was added. They lie about the free e-filing! Very deceptive.
This company is the shining example of bureaucracy-run amok. I had a complaint with the company, I was told that my complaint was denied, and they refuse to let me speak to anybody that could explain why. It was painful but the software required me to give them at least one star.
SCAM!!Please beware of Intuit turbo tax at the end of my filing taxes for 2021 they offered a debit card to put my returns on and mail it out to me. I never received the debit card in the mail and after calling every number I could find I was told by an Indian call center they didnt have any of my information on file and there was nothing they can do about it.
