I want to let everyone know do not do any business with Turbo Tax (intuit) Please the fees are ridiculous, and they say money back guarantee, but they found a way to get and keep 273 dollars of my money. I am a single middle aged lady with only my income to live on and I would never give away that amount of money to any business for software I can get for almost free. I am so hurt right now Don't let companies like TurboTax to keep ripping honest tax payers off please!
They scam you into paying more money and a product you did not want. At the end you are paying more than you were quoted. They lead you to believe that you are getting the service you paid for and when all said and done charge you for things truly were told were included scammers.
They charged me for the service regarding private contractors. I tried to call them saying it was for personal use. They then said there was no way to reverse the charges. Horrible
I used it to file my taxes this year, my state refund came through just fine. Then my federal it said that it couldnt deposit. (My bank said due to my name being wrong) so I then get a check minus 30+ dollars for returned refund fee that they used to send me a check from the company they used to send the check. I am NEVER using TurboTax again Ive held off cashing my federal refund cause the check says that if I cash the check it is me agreeing with what is on the check. I had a terrible experience with turbo tax and Id like to warn others about their tricky pricing practices when you use the website for taxes. I was unfairly charged ****** without ever being shown upfront front pricing information. I entered my PayPal information and then IMMEDIATELY get a RECEIPT for ******! I had repeatedly throughout the tax process refused all the constant asking to add on services, and was trying to use their free service offered. I started using QuickBooks since the 90s. Came across a software issue where I believe the data may have been corrupted from switching a file from my bookkeepers Mac to my new *C. CASE # xxx5865036. Been dealing with their desk help for about three weeks and been getting more run around than actual help. I am at "Level 2" support and it is just so unprofessional. TurboTax is a shady software company. Started filing my taxes with TurboTax as I have done for years. When I started my taxes the premier edition was $54.00. When I finished the price was $74.00. Also found their software to be confusing this year, unlike past years.I have been using TurboTax for years. Next year I will look at alternatives. TurboTax should tell you the price upfront and lock it in.Would not recommend TurboTax.
My client sent my **** form through a link which Im required to set up an account to see. A data grab for a legally required activity (filing taxes) is absolutely wrong. I created the stupid account and still can't get my form. This is a waste of my time to try to find for an issue that Intuit created. Should be shut down for stuff like this.
Their software was not user friendly. Could never get real help. Repeatedly asked me to upgrade to higher product line. Can not get back into my account to print the full tax file with the back up data. Can only print what was submitted to IRS. Do not recommend that others use this program.
