the savings had since Feb of this year, approximately $230, has been wiped out in 2 weeks. I am fine with increasing my thermostat to a higher temp to help with energy savings. however, i'm not fine with having to turn it off during the middle of the day for hours at a time to limit my energy usage. it was great while it lasted, I hope y'all can learn from this so that you keep customers for the long haul. fixed rates help people budget, but these last two weeks can ruin a person's bank account. Tun away bill is stupid expensive $9/ KWh your company is a joke
Bait and switch gimmick! Start off first month under 9 c/kWh. Only to jump up to 30 c/kWh the next month! Stay away from this “wholesale” rate concept company!
The idea behind Griddy is good. But in a deregulated market like Texas where many companies offer pricing that encourages massive energy usage (which leads to massive spikes in price), it just doesn’t work. The first 2 months, I did see a lower bill. We conserved energy and were very mindful of our power use. And then in less than 2 days, all of those savings were wiped out by massive spikes. rip off, scam, if you like 600-700 dollar electric bills then Griddy is for you.
Left them and couldn’t be happier. They keep trying to say that these peak prices are just such a rarity but have become pretty normal the last week and half. Everything they did save in the beginning is now not only gone but cost me more than any fixed rate electricity provider. I hope everyone has learned there lesson on what it means to be with them. Griddy locked the ability to upload an image, it’s back to $9.00 per kW.
This company is complete garbage. Insane spikes in price that result in a normal month's bill in three days, and zero ability to cancel my account or contact customer service. No response to emails or messages. I've switched providers after three days. Steer clear of this awful "company."
