did not appreciate not being told why I ended up in the ICU last Thursday and got discharged so late Monday afternoon when I went into Miller Eye for surgery.
At 47 years old, I had my first hospital stay since being born. I had a bad infection and stayed 4 days. Everyone was wonderful. Then, on New Years Eve 2015, I was very ill. Turned out to be ovarian cancer. I was given the best care by the best doctors, nurses and staff. I try to have all tests and procedures done at Erlanger. I will not go anywhere else.
I had got stung by a centipede in the corner of my eye while I was asleep and they had no idea how to handle it and gave me 2 benadryl and sent me home I had to go back to the hospital at Memorial Hospital they knew exactly what to do and gave me a steroid shot and in 15 min I could open my eye again and felt better in a day it's sad when a hospital has to send 4 doctors and several nurses to look at you and then spend more time on the computer than with the patient.
I was registered to have an MRI, never happened. I'm not sure if the snafu was on Erlanger's end or the insurance company's end. Unfortunately, the people in the 3T MRI area weren't helpful at all. I'm very hard of hearing, I asked to speak to someone face to face, as I read lips. I was told I couldn't speak to anyone face to face. Customer Service? I think not! As a result, Erlanger has a very upset consumer.

Erlanger was a second home to us for three years after my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. Every week we were there for treatments and blood work and many times during those three years, he was hospilized. There will never be enough words to express how thankful we were for the friendly faces on the oncology ward and for the wonderful staff of Dr. Schlabachs office. I am truly disappointed with this facility! My mom's last 2 ER visits were ridiculous! The 1st time she remained in the ER for 9hrs! Then 2nd visit she arrived on 10/18 @ 7:58am and went to the floor at 6:35am on 10/19. They keep saying they misplaced her bed request! BULL HOCKEY!!!! �����
