We were very pleased with all staff an doctors. We have used Erlanger many times thru the yrs. an have never had a bad experience. The only thing we had a problem with on Dec.30th 2016 was we get there at 6am an the gates would not give me a ticket an open it said we are currently closed 🙁So we had no place to park but behind McDonald's an walk all the way to hospital entrance. I don't know much about Erlanger except I seen on the wall their slogan is "World Class"?? Let me differ. If I had an option I would have my daughter transferred right now to ANY other hospital. We have been here since 2pm. We didn't see her at all until about 9:30 them they let us in for a 5 minute visit. We spent about a minute each and the other people who came to visit her didn't get to see her at all. They have given us numerous "conflicting" information. I had a total hip replacement at Erlanger. Dr Freeman did the procedure. I was told by everyone that I would always have a limp. My recovery was without a problem. I have no limp. The follow up very comprehensive. The staff absolutely wonderful. Never did I encounter even one person who wasn't friendly and professional. The doctors are the best. For quality care go to Erlanger.

On December 11, 2016, I went to Erlanger East after experiencing severe pelvic pain. The only complaint I have about Erlanger East was that it took an hour to an hour and a half to get any pain meds. I was SCREAMING in pain and I'm sure the doctors and nurses could hear me in my room. Finally, I got some meds, had a pelvic ultrasound and then was told I had a 6 INCH cyst on my right ovary. Things seemed to move slowly, however the nurses were awesome and the surgeon was the best. We've both had surgery at Erlanger at one time or another, and were very satisfied.
Basically i am just unimpressed. I have been canceled and rescheduled so many times that i feel way to uncomfortable to have surgery done here. Better organization is needed. Once my appointment with a potential surgeon was canceled due to the electricity being out, and the weren't even sure if it would be back on tomorrow? What?
