I had the absolute worst experience at erlanger last night! My father was airlifted there and the doctors did a few tests and weren't sure yet what was wrong. I went back to see him and he was acting very out of character( very anxious , wanting to leave, getting angry etc....) Well he was supposed to get an mri so he asked the nurse for something to relax him so he wouldn't freak out in the mri. She said sure and left. Well them he tries to get up says he's leaving. I was "unfortunately" transported to the ER at Erlanger with a medical issue as my local hospital thought that with the size and staff of the Erlanger medical facility they would be able to do the test I needed the evening I arrived. I got to the hospital at 9pm and for 15 hours laid on a miserable gurney and somewhere in the middle was moved to the ER area where you "wait for a room to be admitted" and I had an absolute HORRIBLE nurse. Excellent patient care.. great nursing staff in labor & delivery. Dr Collins in NCIU was simply the best! Her heart and knowledge for her littlest patients are second to none.
My 64 yr old mother was transfered here Monday Jan.16,2017 @ 1:05 am from ParkRidge East due to her diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her spine and pelvis. Once we arrived to the Er waiting room we were aloud to go back after almost 2 hrs which is understandable. But once we got back there we found our mother in agony up against a wall in the hallway. This is the nasty place I have ever in my life been to there was stuff all over the room..iv dirty stuff laying ever where clothes threw in the floor the sink had dirty linen on it and in the floor my dad needed something to drink and they refused him anything the staff was shitty and doctors didn't know shit about surgrey they had empty vial laying around needle that's been used patients was bleeding all in the hall way I swear ppl take your ppl somewhere else cause this is not a good clean place this place needs be shut do... read more
This was posted by a dear friend who struggles EVERY DAMN DAY with lupus, migraines, dialysis etc. she didn't ask for any of it and she DESERVES BETTER from this Hospital AND its STAFF. Shame on all of you! Just leaving the ER with MoMo. I can't believe we got to the hospital at 5:30 PM (Yesterday) and I left the ER, this morning around 7AM!!!! Erlanger is one of the most incompetent hospitals I know of
First off we went in through the ER. My husband sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. During this time a nurse came and called back an elderly lady. This lady was there when we arrived so I have no idea how long she had been there. I do know it had been at least an hour and a half. The lady told the nurse she had been waiting a long time. Instead of addressing her legitimate complaint the nurse replies "well your not dying". Very disrespectful. When we finally made it too the back we waited again. After being in the ba... read more
