Wait over an hour in an empty waiting room. Go back to see 20+ medical personnel lounging around on the phone or tablet. One even had solitaire pulled up. I counted twenty three. The busiest person was sweeping floors and emptying trash. Heaven forbid that they get people in and out of there. I mean why shouldn't it take two hours for a simple x-Ray. VerY POOR quality Children's ER staff and management.
I've called several times to get my prescription filled, left 3 voice mails Friday, never recieved a call back. Called again today, spoke to all 3 locations, no one knew who or where my provider is. Dodson ave told me that she's at the Southside clinic, the south side clinic told me that she's somewhere in Atlanta, I had one person in the main clinic tell me that she's at the dodson clinic, and then another tell me that they've never even heard of her. I wish there were 0 stars. I was transferred to Erlanger from Rhea Medical Center for severe sciatia with excruciating nerve pain and numbness for over 3 weeks. I have NEVER, ever in my life seen a place such as this. It was as if I were in a horror movie. The ER room I was in was infested with flies and filth was everywhere. At first, I was moved to a bay for vitals and was given some meds at 3 pm, where I was told I was moved to the top of the list for an MRI. What is the point of having a patient rep in the ER if they never answer the phone. My sister in law is there now under Jane Doe. I am trying to speak with a human to give them get medical history as she has some serious conditions but no one will answer the phone. This is utterly ridiculous. The hospital might be a good surgical center, but the nursing staff here needs to be retrained! We have only had 2 good nurses. The rest seem to be more interested in getting paid for a job they are not doing than having the compassion to actually take care of the patients. I'm sorry but if you do not like to be dusturbed, then get another line of work!
The nursing staff in the NNICU are awesome. And I will admit, the best nurse up there is Lucas! He deserves a pay raise! He has taken GREAT care of my mom. But I will admit, all the staff and volunteers have been really friendly.
