I don't even know where to start... Just don't y'all! So my husband and I wanted to rent this beautiful house that was within our budget and perfect for my family, we went and looked at it and we were approved so we signed the lease but little did we know (since this was our first time renting a house) that you have 24 hrs to pay the deposit and first months rent. HRG is very unprofessional and disorganized. We rented a place from them for one year. When we asked to know rental price if we stayed past the year, I could never get an answer. We decided to move out after lease was up. They finally answered my questions 30 days before we moved out. We moved out on November 30, 2022. We still have not received our deposit. We’ve had problems with the property since we’ve moved in our very first night in the property we were without heat because the connection wasn’t done properly. The dishwasher was not installed properly we had to wait for the right person to come after several different people coming into our home to see what the problem was. We also had a water leakage that was coming into our home due to a pipe not being installed properly it took 2/3 visits before it was fixed. This business should be shut down. They are very unprofessional and do not respond to anybodys questions for concern. They only contact you when it benefits them. They are thieves and steal your money. You live in unlivable conditions and pay for it on your own dime and you cant even talk to somebody to get your money back. They tell you you shouldnt have took it into your own hands and I shouldve waited the month-long that they wanted me to wait until they would fix it. I RARELY leave comments but wish I could reach out to renters and property owners to beware.....HRG is Very disorganized and unprofessional. Yes, they are all very kind...but that doesn't matter when things are left unresolved. I attempted to get renewal information 66 days before my lease expiration in effort to make an educated decision if I would renew or move. With the "notice to vacate" deadline being 45 days, I figured the extra 21 days would be sufficient to connect with them and make a decision. I was wrong. While I ... read more

This company should be investigated. Just read through the reviews.The continue to hound my wife and i get the utilities put in our name. We cannot because the city we live requires them to do an inspection and they have not. In 9 months they have not requested the inspection. Even after there was a gas leak that required the city to red tag the property. There is no response or follow-up. HomeRiver Group is the worst company to rent a property from. The home was poorly put together and had numerous issues when we first moved in like, The home was not cleaned, carpet has nails poking through, the wood is damaged by the staircase, the shower head is messed up, cracks in the ceiling, little things just falling part etc. My first day with them a pipe was bursted and I had to fix it and they didnt reimburse me. I wish I had read these reviews prior to signing a lease with this company. I rented a home that at first glance appeared to be just fine. Then I moved in and it turned into a nightmare. This resident benefits package thing is a complete joke. One of the benefits is that they set your utilities up for you, which is false. I still had to call and set up my own accounts.
