In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Worst Brann's experience ever. Group of 5 seated in the upper dining area. One other table of 8 in opposite corner. They got up and cancelled their order after being there 2 hours. Ours wasn't that bad. We ordered sizzlers. Only took an hour to have them delivered to the table. During that time we only had to go to the bar once to get more drinks 😁 Oh, and I guess this location delivers the salad and rolls as a desert item (after the steaks). Service was way slow on a non weekend nighr for a group of 11 people. My steak was almost too rare to eat . I asked medium to well done steak. Did not get shrimp sauce with order of dinner. Had to ask for it. Had to ask for refill on beverage.
No matter which location I visit across West Michigan, the service is always the same. EXCELLENT STAFF!......EXCELLENT SERVICE!........ EXCELLENT FOOD!

Not really sure what to rate it since i never received any service. I stop there at least once a week to grab a late dinner on the way home from work. Its usually great, the staff is nice, food is excellent. I stopped in last night to grab a quick steak and it was pretty quiet in the lounge. Sat at the bar, seemed like it was employees off duty having cocktails and perhaps one other couple. Bartender saw me.
