In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

I was just here for lunch and Mark was my server. He was absolutely wonderful. It's been a long stressful couple days and he definitely brightened my mood. My food was perfect, as was my drink, but nothing compares to how wonderful he was.
The brann family is a fantastic family they do a heck of a lot for the community for the police officers in this community and wow what can you say about mr. Johnny brann he is a great example of what a great American should be not to mention their fantastic restaurant
This is the only time I get to have steak, and I have never been disappointed! The first time I was to your restaurant was in Grand Rapids. Now usually take my daughter and her husband there when I go to visit them. And now I have one right close to home in Bay City. Happiness!!
Always friendly employees and great affordable meals! You havent lived if you havent had a Branns sizzler!
The absolute best restaurant in Grand Rapids. Their food is always fresh and tasty. The service is fast and courteous. The steaks are the best in town. Oh by the way you can't beat the price either.

The service freaking sucked. Order a bloody mary sent it back cuz it was all tomato juice got a second one asked for olives they didn't have any. Order a salad no dressing. This place sucks. Don't know how the rest of the food is still waiting for that. I will never come here again. The rest of the food was just awful!

Not only the best chicken sandwich I've ever had, but the best sandwich period!! Service was top notch!! Wish I lived closer, would become a regular!
