In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

I am here now and me and my fiance have been here for almost an hour now and it took about 20 minutes just to get drinks... Our server has been to the other table multiple times but it took another 15 minutes to get rolls. About 30 total just for rolls and water... We come here regularly and yesterday we got a to go order and part of it was cold, the rolls were hard as a rock and it took more than an hour, we could have just ate in if that was the case. We were there for Mother's day and I ordered a burger, most of the others had steak. I waited an hour for my burger & when it finally came it was the wrong food so I had to wait even longer for the right food. Very disappointed.
The food was good. I had ribs. The wait staff was very good. I really enjoyed myself.

Food was great as always but was really disappointed in the service we received. Favorite part about eating here? The Rolls with Cinnamon Butter before the meal... But we were never brought any nor asked if we wanted them. Would have asked but our server never came back after taking our order until our food came out a 25 minutes later... Not to mention not a refill or just stopping by the table to see how everything tasted. Just waited till we were done to come bring the bill right away.
