In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Went there for my birthday steak dinner, our server was AMAZING! BUT, they do not know how to cook a medium-rare steak! It was RAW They took it back 3 times! It was terrible! Manager came out, offered me a prime rib, that was RAW! Sent it back again, it was more rare than raw so I ate a couple bites. The manage took my meal off, but acted Ridiculous! The remodeling is a great improvement giving a more relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent & the wait for it was very reasonable. Thank you for the great service.

Told the bar tender about a coupon through email before the meal, one meal was undercooked (steak ordered medium, extremely close to rare almost black and blue), was inattentive to our drinks, and didnt keep our tab accurately updated. We had to remind her about the coupon and were not checked in with very frequently. Extremely disappointed. Will more than likely not be back.
