In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Worst service I have ever had at Branns. Food showed up wrong and overly greasy. Sent one of the burritos back to be remade. 30 minutes later were paying the bill and still waiting for that burrito. Manager wouldn't even come to the table. I never even got to eat. Going to a concert tonight on an empty stomach. Thanks Branns.

Went down with a group of people to have drinks and food prior to the concert everyone was great had a wonderful time

The service was outstanding and the food even better. Wife loved the green beans (although I pay for it later in the car on the way home �). The only downside was our the long hair on our waiter (or waitress, I’m not sure, although the name tag read “John”). We will definitely be back but we respectfully request a waiter with a PROPER haircut.

Went to Brann's with family on Saturday to celebrate my step dads b-day and we had Nick as a waiter. He was the best waiter ever. So attentive and kind and joked right back with us. Thanks for a great fun experience and great food.

I haven’t been to Branns in a long time, so I decided to take the family including my mother. Waiter took forever to serve us our drinks, then finally took our order. Come to find out 30 minutes later by the manager that the waiter forgot to put our order in!!! 20 minutes after that, once I asked to speak to the manager again, the regional manager comes to speak to us. She offered to pay for our meal, which was fine, but still took another 15 for them to bring it out, so we asked for to go box’s because my son was getting ti... read more

Waited 1 1/2 hours before getting our food. When it came my chicken was burned, my husband's ribs were very dry and his steak was over cooked. Waiter was very apologetic and very busy. He was the best part of our experience.
