In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

I've been going to Branns since i was a kid. We lived around the corner from the first one on Division. I live in Grandville so that's the one usually go to. I also got to the Cascade location sometimes and enjoy conversing with Mike. (it's been awhile but I think he's still there) In all that time I've had one bad meal. I had all of my family with me. Ordered the 2 signature items for lunch and for the loaded bake potato soup with no crackers and the cheesey garlic flat bread with no garlic or marinara. The flat bread has cheese only. I could of made a cheese quesadilla at home with two tortillas and it would have been better. Disappointed highly in my carry out order.

RecommendedWhile visiting Grand Rapids from Murray KY, for my daughters weightlifting competition we decided to stop in. Great Service and Food! Oh and anyone who backs the Blue Line has our business!
We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Our server was John S. He did a great job and all of our food was hot and tasty! He even made a fresh pot of coffee for my father in law!
