In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Recently had lunch at the West Side location. I was surprised to see a pressed Cuban sandwich on the menu. It was very good. Not quite an authentic Southern-Florida Cuban sandwich, but worth an out-of-my-way trip back when I'm looking for a lunch stop.

Just the best dinner this evening at Brann's! Loved the delicious prime rib cooked to medium rare perfection with yummy mashed potatoes. Our server, Makayla, was so kind, timely, courteous and had such a lovely smile! Enjoyed our share with the female manager who stopped to ask about our meal. I was so impressed with our delicious meal and the kind, attentive staffing in the restaurant. Thank you for making a meal so enjoyable~

One of the best steaks I've ever eaten !!!! 11 oz Sirloin was DELICIOUS !!!!
The staff was here friendly as soon as we entered and untill the time we left. Will deffinantly stop in again

Our food and service were good, even though it was very busy. The only complaint was that I had to send my steak back because it wasn't cooked to order, but they fixed it right away.
