In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

The food is very good. The service was not impressive at all. Waited 15 minutes for the host to finally come back to the table and ask if he could at least get drinks for us. Takes the drink order then says I'll let your server know. Waiting and additional 15-20 minutes for our server whom this was the first time seeing him at this point. I had their hamburger with mushrooms and cheese. It was very dry. Not very appetizing.

My husband and I LOVE BRANNS, one time in 25 years we had a problem. We immediately brought it to the servers attention, and it was taken care of. Don't BITCH if you have issues tell them immediately, nobody is perfect but tell them. God Bless all the Branns Family. Great Years of hard work. See you again soon.❤️
Horrible been sitting here for 2 hours! Brought my father here for fathers day and he is eating crackers! Not the food we ordered due to being wrong and not out back in when we sent it back. The service sucks as well ordered another drink 15 minutes ago still not here.
