In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Great food, reasonable prices. Pretty busy place on a Saturday evening, service was kinda' slow. I'd definitely go back again!

We use to go to branns frequently until a few months ago the waiter spilled a whole glass of pop on myself and my daughter and our food was sent back and we waited forever, after giving it a break we attempted it again Sunday the Leonard location and our Mac n cheese wasn’t creamy was dry moosh. My steak was rare I ordered medium well sent back and still came back rare. My husband and daughter finished there meal and I said forget it. Waited a long time for our order to be taken, thought they forgot us, finally took our order ( for 2 people) & that was the only time we saw our waiter. I had to ask for silverware, food was brought out by someone else, my daughter"s burger was raw inside, it was my birthday so asked about birthday coupon, but he never brought it out. It was a Friday night but not very busy. Terrible service, undercooked food, small portions & we were overcharged. I won"t be back. Place was much nicer years ago. � Leonard st location

I met the Manager she is a really great person, Great with customers. Also had a good waiter.
Came here for Lunch and it was fantastic! Great specials through the week. Awesome service. Ribs are amazing! Definitely a place to check out if you haven’t yet. You are missing out!

We ordered the 12oz prime rib.they brought us this thin over cooked slice of jerky.then the Manger came and said oh I'm sorry that's not right. Then brought us the right steak but way over cooked ..we asked for med rare. This was tough and dry.nasty. I've never payed that kind of money for a terrible meal.i will never be back.
