This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Basil Toyota. There is a reason I continue to return there for my used car purchases. The teams there from sales to financing and service have ALWAYS treated me right. This last purchase , Ken in sales went over and above to help me out. I am an old guy - probably my last car purchase - who wanted a used Camry Hybrid and Basil had one reportedly reasonably maintained with higher than average mileage and a lower price. I trust the Toyota brand, if well maintained. The CarFax Report looked good with some missing routine maintenance contacts for the one owner. The dealer didn't offer any extra information even though this vehicle was sold by them and serviced there some. And the 120 point Used Toyota checklist skipped the BATTERY section (on a Hybrid!) This experience started off well but in closing the sale our representative made significant errors (saying they forgot to charge us a down payment and therefore we could not pay at the time) to then realizing they actually had, days later, when we don’t live close by. This is beyond ridiculous.
The sales staff at Basil went above and beyond for our particular issue - trading in a car that had broken down in Buffalo and buying gently used RAV - all done long distance as we live in Rochester. I can’t say enough about the courtesy and professionalism of sales manager Mick in helping us out in a tough situation. The car pickup went like clockwork - thanks Nate. Highly recommend!
