My son came home from the NICU with oxygen requirements and our insurance contracted Apria for his O2 tanks and pulse oxometer. The first time a Respiratory therapist came to drop off our tanks, they showed my husband how to use it and then left it open. So we had to call and have another tank delivered to replace it. They also dropped off 2 leads for the oxometer (they last between 2-3 days). It was a mission to get new oxygen tanks and leads. My son has been home a little less than 3 weeks (he is 5 months old but was born ... read more
Apria is a byproduct of a fragmented healthcare system. I’m remaining neutral in my opinion. Working with DME companies are a nightmare as it is, and no one would know that if you are not working in the healthcare field. you have to be informed of what exactly is needed for the process to go well. All documents need to be submitted or the insurance companies will NOT provide payment, so of course there will be delay and hold up in services. There are many loopholes; and this is beyond aprias head. Medicare guidelines are dif... read more
This is by far the worst experience that I've had with any company. Their employees are not well trained, they lack any feeling of empathy and they refuse to let me speak with a supervisor. They claim they don't have emails, yet they have them listed on their website.
The place is a joke. Total brush off over and over. They don't answer calls and hang up after long hold times! Do business elsewhere!
Their service is terrible. Send you incorrect supplies. I was called 4 times today about a bill of$6.97 which I paid when I originally got the bill. Please for your own peace of mind use another company!!!
Apria is the worst medical company ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. charges for equipment that i already own and reaccuring charges that they cant seem to explain and when you talk to someone on the phone, they're an out of country service so the communication is hard to say the least. Oh and theres nobody you can talk to in person. So if youre new to dealing with this company, hold on to your pants because its one hell of a ride.
We placed a catheter order on December 14, 2018. After the order did not make it to us after a week we called and they said it was shipped so, again we waited. A few days later we called again. This time we asked for the tracking number and according to UPS the shipment never left the supply warehouse. Again we called Apria. They again tried to tell us that it shipped but after 2 weeks and the tracking number we knew better. Today we have been on the phone with them for almost an hour. They continue to blame UPS and are havi... read more
Horrible company, totally uncaring, even when equipment is needed in an emergency. They are unresponsive when you call, live to give you the run-around on the phone and it takes literally weeks to get your medical equipment, that is IF you get it! My husband is waiting for medical equipment ordered in December 2017, yes, that's right and not a typo, 2017!
Don't bill customers without a signed agreement. Don't force customers to sign a rental agreement when they are returning equipment and supplies unused and unopened. Provide a clear receipt confirming equipment was returned. Don't bill customers for supplies that were returned unused and unopened. Don't tell customers their account balance has been resolved but still make collections calls to the customer with a different story.
