I cannot express in words the experience we had at AERC. I brought my dog in for emergency care because he couldn't breathe. I called before we headed up (it's a 25+ minute drive) and when we arrived they were waiting and immediately took him back for care. He had to be in oxygen and they needed to do more tests. We left him overnight for this to be done. I received a call from the doctor the next day who walked me through the results. Unfortunately, our little guy wasn't going to make it. We brought our dog Buddy there this morning to be put down. He had cancer and was in intense pain. They were professional and even put us in a private room for him to be put down. Also provided us with a clay paw print for us to cherish. Thank you for the amazing service you provide, especially during a time when most vet clinics aren't open. We had a clinical emergency for one of our two kittens. One had swallowed a complete shoelace and we did not know which one this occurred late in the evening. We called and took in both kittens. They did all the normal activities, but none solved the problem until they did sent a tube into their gut. They found the shoelace and removed it safely. We received a call at about 2 am to let us know our cats were OK. We got them before 7 and our kittens were fine. We are very happy with their care.
This clinic is a safe, helpful, professional place to take a sick pet. Open 24 hrs., equipment to do all kinds of tests, vet specialists for all kinds of ailments. This is the place for a sick pet to be! Concerned about costs, everything they think should be done comes with an estimate of cost before they proceed. No surprises.
