My child was delivered safely and the medical staff was amazing. They kept my wife safe during her c-section. That being said, an out of network provider was used without us being notified during our time there (we have Aetna HMO). This was the hospital pediatrician that does the newborn assessment. There was a lapse of communication on the administrative side and months later was sent a $2000 bill. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience with antepartum/labor/delivery/mother/baby unit. I had been hospitalized for 5 weeks until the birth of my daughter. The nurses took fantastic care of me and help keep me calm. They treated me with kindness and respect. They never once made me feel like I was a burden and made me feel at ease. Loved our experience with the NICU staff while our one twin was transferred there. Everyone was so caring and accommodating. In such a tough situation everyone really showed us their hearts and made us feel comfortable. We’ll forever be grateful for the amazing NICU staff at shady grove. A piece of our heart will always be in that building.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a hospital. Extremely unprofessional ER staff, ER nurses and ER doctor. I have been a nurse for five years and these healthcare workers should know better!! I was lied to, treated with absolute disrespect and not consulted about my son’s medical care despite my sole legal custody order given to them and put on my son’s chart. Shady Grove Hospital has a really good customer service my mom had in kidney infection and they had to take her and she stay for a couple days and she was treated well I thank God I'm blessed that they really help my mom to get better in Shady Grove I hope she go really do the really good job and I hope they keep doing a really good job I recommend people go to Shady Grove Hospital is the best hospital in Montgomery County
