Spicy Southwest flavors is our passion for great Mexican food. Despite having a deep love for the cuisine, simply cooking and eating it wasn't enough for us, all we wanted to do was share our food. Acapulco Joe's was established out of a desire to share. Since opening more than 50 years ago, we striven to bring the best of Mexican cuisine to all those who have been willing to try it. That's why we're Indianapolis' first Mexican Restaurant, we wanted to expose the north to the cuisine of the South. Within Mexican cuisine, we ... read more

Been a customer since the 80s. I'll be a customer for a lot longer, God willing.
Been going to Joe's 30+ years and still love it!! I can't understand why the complaints- staff is great and the Owner, Grant is too!!
I've been going here for years, love it!! Went there when Joe was still alive, Butcher was cooking!! Still find same waitresses through different owners. God Bless America playing full blast!!!! Went yesterday and I live 3 hours North now. I'll be back!
Food and service were fine, but when it came time to pay, they wouldn't honor the gift cards I was given as a wedding present. The manager on duty/owner said the cards were from before their ownership change and had zero balance. He spent a long time sorting this out. I didn't dispute it at the time because I needed to get back to work and didn't want to prolong my return to work further. Would have been nice if he could have worked something out with me. Instead, I won't be back.
Love the chicken enchiladas and corona lite on tap is great. Wife loves Joe's Mexican omelette and refried beans.
Save yourself a trip unless you like bad food and disappointing service.
I just don't know where to begin with this place. My BFF's and I decided to go here last night for Devour Downtown. This was our first time eating here. We arrived at 7:15p.m...chips and salsa came out in a timely manner. Appetizers came out after 9:00p.m. They gave us more margaritas on the house. Mind you the business closes at 10:00p.m.... still no entree!!!!! We never was rude.....never complained not once!!!! 10:20p.m comes and so does our food. The food was horrible. We asked to speak to the manager. He had the nasties... read more
Waited 10 minutes, server never showed up. Hostess acted like she didn't care for her job. Never coming back.
We went here tonight with my husband our thrr year old and 5 month old and our friend and their 7 month old. We ordered the devour downtown menu. The food was alright not good but alright. We walked in at 658 and finally received our Appitizers 745 we finally got our Appitizers (the chili con queso was made with cheap cheese that just congealed). We had to try to find our server to ask for more salsa then he brought us on small bowl and no chips. 8:08 we finally got our food. My friend ordered the veggie fajitas and they wer... read more
