Cheese grits, black beans and fried fish are staples in any soul food restaurant, and this kitchen prepares them in the most traditional way. The owners opened the Birmingham restaurant after success with a couple of other locations in Florida, and just like in the Sunshine State, you'll find simple dishes made with simple ingredients. Open for lunch and brunch only, come and order some chicken and waffles and wash it down with a sweet tea, it doesn't get any more quintessentially Southern than this.

Food was AWESOME!!!! And it was hot when we received our order! There is a wait for a table, but that only intrigued my curiosity. It was definitely worth the wait.
I've had chicken and waffles in both New York and New Jersey, but this is by far the best I've had. Great atmosphere with amazing food and service.
