Thank you, Venus! – I waited years to get my hair cut and styled because I didn't want anyone messing up my long hair and cutting too much. After about a year of researching Houston salons and asking a lot of women "Who did your hair?", I made an appointment at Venus Hair. Great place for curls! – I am new to the area and did a search to find a great place to go, Venus did not disappoint! I am always terrified of getting my haircut because of my very curly hair, but Jill did a great job and soothed me the entire time! She even showed me a better way to dry my hair and really took the time to work with me. The people are very friendly there and the shop is interesting. I have found my new place!

It's like walking into Cheers... – Where everybody knows your name, remembers your quirks, tells you the truth, gives you great service, makes you look hot, and the biggest perk? You get to experience the funky, interesting people that come in one after another after another to visit with Venus. It's the only place to find out everything happening in the Heights by just sitting in the chair for a while. And laugh your butt off.
BEST SALON EVER!!! – Ignore the naysayers! I have been a customer at Venus Hair for several years, and it is BY FAR the best salon experience I have ever had (and I've tried a LOT!). After years of trying to get stylists to LISTEN to me, I finally found Susan, who gave me what I wanted, and not what she THOUGHT I wanted. Venus Hair is the Best! – Venus Hair is 'head and shoulders' above all the other hair salons I've been to in Houston. It is a landmark in the Heights area and one of the funkiest, friendliest places you will ever experience. I have been going to Susan Venus for almost 8 years now, and have never had a bad experience. Cut, color and attention to detail are always superb.
Always Great! – Susan Venus runs a first-rate salon. She's always there cutting and dying hair. She's personable, friendly -- you'll feel like family in a couple of visits. Her salon is the best thing going in the Heights, especially on 19th St!

A Wonderful Experience! – When I got to Venus Hair location I immediately recognized the wonderfully creative "hairst" art car parked in front. Ok, I thought, they have a sense of humor, something that is so refreshing. The interior of the salon is ecclectic, decorated with hundreds of masks, jewels, posters, crusifixes, manaquins and more.
