Supercuts It's Not! – Venus Hair is the funkiest, livliest, and most entertaining and unique salon in Houston. Their talent with hair is the main reason for going, but the social interaction and general side show is also a major draw.
Venus - Goddess Maker!! – I went to Venus Hair for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I explained to Venus what I wanted and she listened attentively. (I have thinning hair.) She made suggestions about the color and then proceeded to give me the best hair cut and color of my life!! I have received so many compliments on the cut and color. My husband just loves it! Also for those who know nothing about hair – Unlike most other reviews, I know little about hair save that it grows on my head and requires me to get someone to cut it every so often. Beyond the pedigree and pleasant atmosphere, the staff can understand and tolerate someone as difficult as myself. They can also take that input and produce a result that gives positive feedback from those that see their work upon me.
Caddy Rox! – I went back in to get the blonde turned into chocolate brown and auburn and it turned out beautiful. I'm always satisfied when I go in. Thank you so much for my beautiful hair Caddy ^_~ My Mother's been going for a while now, I told her she'll get great service and be talked through exactly what she wants, what's best for her hair and also get to check out the incredible amount of art in the studio. Hair Goddess! – Carol is fabulous. My friend and I just moved to Houston (had to leave New Orleans because of Katrina) and found Venus Hair walking by. It looked enchanting so we called for appointments. Carol squeezed us in on a Thursday evening. My hair looks gorgeous! It's the perfect shade of red and the cut looks darling. The atmosphere is great - very fun, retro-chic and comfortable. This is not one of those annoyingly pretentious places. Venus and Carol are warm and wonderful. Love it!
I love Venus Hair – Venus Hair is the best hair salon in Houston!! Susan Venus is kind, talented and attentive- giving you the best in hair cut/colour/set .You can't beat the great location and fabulous decor- but when you combine that with the talents of Susan, Carol & Tim and the wonderful energy & vibes of the place you come up a winner.
The most fun you'll have getting your hair done! – Carol is a true hair genius. She took the time to find out exactly what I wanted, let me know what would work and delivered a cut and color that far exceeded my expectations. On top of the excellent service, the salon is filled with interesting collections of art, stuff and people. I LOVE Venus Hair! – The place is amazing! I love art and I love New Orleans, and this place has lots of both. It is small, personal, and the staff is polite and out there! I love Ms. Venus's art car hearse, you can't miss it! Caddy gave me a fantastic haircut and wonderful conversation about options with my hair and highlights.
