Thank you, Jill!!! – I went to Venus Hair with the remnants of the worst haircut I have ever had. I figured that it would take 2 or more cuts to get it back to a managable state. Wrong. Jill took her time, was very precise, listened exactly to what I wanted and I got a GREAT haircut. After an afternoon working in my back yard... it still looked great. The price was also one of the most reasonable I have encountered in Houston. Go to Venus Hair...ask for Jill
Best cut ever – Have been there 3 times for a haircut, best cut I have ever had and the shampoo was the greatest....
Bad Dry Cut – I went to Venus after reading these reviews and was extremely disappointed. I just moved to Houston. Jill cut my hair. I asked her for a trim and to follow my previous cut. I am now lop-sided and she ruined my previous cut. I was also disappointed that there was no wash/style with the cut and that it was a dry cut. When I have had a dry cut in the past, they have washed it, blown it straight and then cut it. I don't see how you can get a good cut working with dirty bed-head hair. BEST HAIRCUT IN YEARS! – I recently went on CitySearch to find a new hairdresser after trying several Galleria area salons. I've been trying for years to get a cerain look that fits me and my personality. I was really surprised when I walked into Venus Hair due to the decor. I LOVE Venus Hair in the Heights – You sure can spot a bogus review like the one below. No employees are named and they use very specific salon jargon but here is the main thing. If you mess up my haircut that I paid for, i am not going to somewhere else and pay them to fix it. Would You? YOU will fix it regardless of any costs or problems you incur. I love getting haircuts by Venus. Its like buying a new suit only cheaper. For days I strut around getting compliment after compliment and it makes me feel good.
You must have simple hair – I've read these reviews and I'm wondering if I went to the same place. I was so excited to go to Venus because of the reviews I read. I have thick, dry, and medium length hair. I have been told to warn the person who answers the phone about this, which is what I did. Best haircut ever! – I don't understand the previous review. I have gone to Venus Hair four times, and am so happy! It is a great haircut, and Jill showed me ways to style it. I have also had more compliments on my hair since "the new girl", Jill has been cutting it than any other stylist I have ever gone to. Best corrective color and cut!!! – I went to Venus Hair on 08/05/06 and got the best color and cut I've had in quite some time. When I went in, my hair was over processed, frizzy, and brassy. After Venus' corrective color I finally look like "me" again. My husband usually never notices when I change my hair, but that day he did. He commented several times how much he loved the color! went to venus after reading all the great reviews and hearing that it was so affordable. i just want to warn people to be careful- b/c the stylist i got was very scissor happy and cut much more than i wanted. not only was it too short it had too many layers and not enough style. another friend of mine went and also had a similar experience. sometimes it's worth it to pay a little bit more. if i could go back in time i would. i would just recommend the newer stylist to pay more attention to what people ask. she'll be more lik... read more
