BEST COLORIST AROUND!!!! – Venus is a cute salon in the heart of the Heights and part of the main strip. I found it to be charming and fits in with the relaxed attitude that makes the Heights what it is. The prices are by far more reasonable then other salons around. My stylist, Sharon is great. Awesome New Find – After using a high end salon for years i finally got tired of the lack of customer service and outlandish prices and sought out a new salon. I was referred by a friend and couldn't be any happier! I got a great cut and just had my highlights done and my hair looks better than it ever has. Venus Hair - Fabulous stylist and service – Just had my hair styled (cut and color) for the 3rd time (in 6 months) with Sharon at Venus Hair in the Heights. Sharon is professional, knowledgeable and friendly! She takes the time to find out what my expectations are for my visit and doesn?t push styles, colors or products! Great Place! – I have been going to the same hairdresser off and on for 15 years, but I think I might be breaking up with her. I went to Venus Hair today and got the haircut I have been wanting, but couldn't get anyone to do right. I now have a sassy new hairdo, thanks to Jill. She took her time, was friendly, and gave me some helpful input as to tailor the haircut to my face. The salon itself is fantastic, I loved the shop. I will definitely be going back.
RIP OFF, AWFUL!!!! – I made an appt at Venus Hair after reading the wonderful reviews here on City Search. WHAT A MISTAKE. Let me just say that I paid $265 to look like a SKUNK. The place is WEIRD, small, cramped, and smells. I was given black low lights and BLEACH highlights, it was awful, and was OVER CHARGED, paying almost $300 for the worst highlights (if you could call them that) I have ever gotten! Let me just say.... I've been in business for 30 years and I know you can't please all the people all the time, and my Salon may not be for everyone. This person must have us confused with a different Salon..... Sharon does not do skunk... Jill does, and will on SPECIAL request. No one was charged $265 in my Salon....EVER!!!!!!!
Best hair cut I have EVER had!!! – I found Venus Hair salon through citysearch and thought I would give it a go. I hadn't gotten a hair cut in ages and when I did I just floated around always ending up with some BLAH cut. I made my appointment with Jill and drove all the way from college station to see her. Best cut and color that I have ever had – I found Venus Hair Salon on the internet. I live nearby and wanted somewhere close. I had my appointment on Saturday. Four hours later I looked amazing. My hair had been over processed and I was extremely brassy. My color is amazing. My appointment was with Jill. Not only is she amazing with color my cut is awesome. Best Hair Salon! – I love this place! Venus takes wonderful care of my hair and can do any dye job i want! She really understands what I try to convey to her and she always comes through perfectly. Cut and color! After finding her, I havn't used anyone else since! I love it!
