I called on a monday for an appointment n woodvillage va. Got in on friday. Never had a problem
Veterans choice sucks, Tricare West sucks! I live 70 mi from hospital and 100 percent SC! I have to wait until tomorrow to call VA to authorize a non narcotic prescription for a pinched nerve in my neck. Why offer Veterans choice if your system is an epic waste! You people are on crack if you think that I'm gonna drive to VA hospital! FUCK THE VA!!!!!!
Hope you never have to contact anyone there, it will take you half a day and you will only get an answering machine. They don't care about anyone but themselves, they are there for a paycheck. It is a quiet rudeness that demeans your inquiries, as you hear their famous last words, "I'm sorry, I can't help you with that, you'll have to contact your primary care physician" even though your primary care physician has no involvement with any actual procedures. Does the VA think everone is a junky stopping my opiates
The VA system as a whole is a joke, and Portland is becoming the butt of it. How the hell does it take months to get a simple appointment, only to be shown what's wrong with my knee on WIKIPEDIA!!! All faith lost in the VA.
Trying to figure out how the reviews score a 4.1 when each review posted showed 1 star. But each review posted is accurate and commonplace. I can also go into a lot of detail on how VA is now failing. (Having said that I consider Portland an exception). It's not just VA, it is the entire healthcare system nation wide, most of it brought on by ourselves by ignoring healthy lifestyle habits for most of our lives. This is our reward.
VA doing a lot better than any private insurance I ever had.
Everyone that I met that works here seems to have a superiority complex. What they fail to realize is that most veterans have a higher degree of education and often from a more prestigious college.
