I would like to thank the staff in the CICU wing for the great care they provided my father in law the past month. I would also like to thank the CLC unit for their compassion, professionalism, HUGE HEARTS and understanding. The CICU wing did all they could for my father in law, never giving up hope until his body simply said no more and the CLC unit were simply amazingly loving and made us feel at peace when he passed yesterday.. The VA is such a blessing, but sometimes the wait time is just too much
After 15 hours in ER and then admitted to hospital my husband still has no answer of why his abdomen hurts. They will not do any tests on him. They released him next day without seeing a doctor and still no results. Back at VA today to see primary doctor.
Yesterday was a bit of a challenge. After waiting over 2hrs, my husband was called back. The dr. started reading his symptoms and I stopped him & stated we were there for an oncology visit to explain upcoming chemo treatments. My husband asked the Dr if he had the right person : "No, he had Mr. Dale Henry, not Gary Henry." So we went to sit & wait some more. The VA system here is a God-send. I can't give enough recognition to the entire staff for the efforts they provide for vets in need of treatment. Thank you all and God bless.
As a rule when I take my Dad in it usually doesn't take long when we go through er last night was the longest we ever had to wait but we did some relief for the issue he was having Dr.called this afternoon and has scheduled a procedure on the 13th .Praying he gets relief and his medical issue is resolved.Over all every time he is in hospital or clinic we are happy with the drs,nurses and staff but there is always that one person that you just have to overlook and pray for ...And valet folks are awesome you have to be underst... read more
It's a very busy place to have for an appointment visit
I had a biopsy on a mss which was found during a colonoscopy in day surgery. I must admit that the staff and personnel working in that area were great. My major complaint is that upon me being released, the doctor nor any of his OR nurses made contact with myself or my family to provide post procedure care or follow up instructions. The after care instructions for this procedure would have been very helpful.
