This is the worst hospital at helping people cuz the nursing staff is the only good part of this hospital. The avg wait time for anything around here is 2 hours. No one should ever have to wait for an appointment that is set up 2 months in advance

The folks in the Lipid Clinic were as courteous and professional acting with my treatment yesterday as always! I know it seems that the only time patients will take the time to complete a survey is when negative things happen. I just want other Veterans to know about the awesome care I received on Friday!

I actally look forward to my appmts. Medical treatment is fairly good. More for me is the atmosphere. To see the hustle and bustle of all these veterans each ambulating as best they can. It is inspiring to me. I come out feelin better emotionally if not physically. Bravo to VA, staff and vets.
When the VA sends you to the care choice program there needs to be a system in place that allows the outside doctors orders to be taken care of in the VA when necessary. My outside doctor requested a specific blood test and told me to go to the VA and have that done, and then to fax those results back to his office. When I got to the VA they would not honor the outside doctors request and said that it had to come from inside the VA. Then I seen the doctor inside and couldn't get it done for two weeks. This is nonsense.
After 3 years of trying to get a appointment we finally got something going and it was a good experience.
It was my first time to use VA hospital and was surprisingly pleased. I got there early to make sure I knew where the hospital was and where to go once I got to the hospital. I was there for cardio test. They took me right in, completed the test, and I was in and out before it was even my appoint time. And then there was valet parking. I was impressed. The only downside was the 100 mile drive each way.
I couldn't ask for a better crew of people. I was hurting really bad and they made me forget about my pain.
