I goes to dialysis here..plus i work 13 years there..and i have had at least 20 procedure there.sometimes i think they makeup illness just to get paid.....i had to go to patients advocate to complain about the 6th floor....some of the nurses turn into ghost at night time....well i could go on and on..but it wouldnt do no good...the VA is paying all of this staff and not doing there job...not at all..
I was only there, in Pharmacy, to pick up medications. I think I may have been there for about 45 minutes. While in there, I sat next to and spoke with a Vietnam Vet and he gave me some advice as for the responses I received from my doctors when I have a situation or ordeal! I also overheard some other gentlemen complaining about being in the waiting area for over two hours. I could give my 5, probably because it was the end of the day on Friday. At first my appointment was made in a timely manner, (within two weeks of my call, the lab wait was less than 10 minutes. As i waited for my appoint to see the doctor in clinic 2, one of the customer service reps. Called my name and informed me my doctor called in a sick day on Dec 22nd, We'll needless to say my appointment got pushed back to Saturday the 21st of January because I cannot take off work agsin which I did to make thus scheduled appointment. They have gotten a lot better since I first started going big ups to the 8th floor
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this place runs like a WELL OILED MACHINE! I LOVE the doctors, technicians, volunteers! EVERYONE!!
Around 1 a.m. I saw a person come in in a wheelchair having seizures look like they were passed out in the person at the desk wasn't going to open the door to the emergency room but a nurse came out and got them. I was having a problem shortness of breath but I went to a doctor today and I got taken care of fortunately I could afford it. But I'm sure that the veterans that were there couldn't afford it that's why some I've been waiting over 8 hours waiting in the emergency room. Dallas VA you're very sad. This has been the worst visit to a VA Medical Center that I've experienced..I'm going on 7hrs spent waiting in the ER for the doctor to make a diagnoses and a plan for treatment..I wouldn't said anything if the ER was full, however, the patient load seems to be low. The overall patient flo is weak, not smart at all.
I love this place. The professional staff clearly care about the vet... most of them anyway... it's many of the people behind the desks that seem to dislike the veteran; just a paycheck for them. I would love to work at the VA! They've done a lot for me and saved my life. I also enjoy that we can just go and hang out with each other there. It's a place I enjoy spending some of my time talking to vets who need a conversation.
