The eye clinic great Dr. Mullins is great. I tried too get a scooter but they want get me one after the doctor ordered it that put in a wheel chair ramp 50ft total I just can make up that ramp with out stopping .

Honestly, Only reason I use the VA is because I can't afford insurance and it was free including meds for service connected disability ratings. Now they are sending me a bill, which I still cannot afford, because I'm under employed because of my disability, but can't seem to get a claim physical scheduled even in the hopes if getting it raised. Have been going to the Bham VA for nearly 30 years and it has been my primary medical treatment center for most of those years. For most of those years the VA was the only medical "insurance" I had and overall my experience has been excellent. This includes a heart valve replacement along with all the other stuff that is starting to wear out/down. Thanks for keeping me healthy and fit enough to continue working full time at 68.
They have taken well care of me I had knee surgery on the 13th awesome great wonderful friendly people they're doing their best to see that everything is done for me the only thing you're just a little bit slow getting my pain pills to me when I hurt but I know they're busy got a lot of patience I have to see you after we're just there trying and intend to do it if you come to me and a friendly wonderful people down here and I think it's a good place for the veterans here in Birmingham
Took a friend of mine there yesterday for a procedure. The nurses, doctors, and supportive staff were wonderful, fun, and very helpful. The hospital was dirty, water not running in the sink of bathroom, (a big no no), wheelchairs with one footrest, sedated patients sitting in straight chairs in one large recovery room. They could have easily fell asleep, and tumbled out of a chair. The van driver from Huntsville was 30 minutes late getting to work. The VA has been very through. They are looking at each ailment as a whole and how these ailments effect each other. They are taking their time to try and fix the problems instead of just handing out script. I admire they're professionalism.
