I absolutely LOVE Dr Rhodes in Dental and I'm sad his internship is ending this month; he will not be my dentist when I return in Sep. I am confident that whoever I see next will be as awesome as Dr Rhodes. I have a 2 hour drive to Birmingham VA for my dental visits and what makes that drive not "so bad" is the wonderful people in Dental. Doctor Moats is my doctor i spoke to him about my left arm being almost un-useble in March it is very painful i then left Stan Spillars a message he never returned the call. Moates gave me a prescription for Steroids and pain cream no test or xrays were done on my arm. I got worse instead of better got worried and went to the head of the hospital was contacted by a patient advocate named Gabin. I still have problems with my left arm from electrocutions in 95-95. I just had total knee replacement. My doctor's were great, very informative and caring. My nurses were very good. I've had dental work and my dentist was excellent. Have my eyes checked one a year, get a new set of glasses every year. I have been to several other va hospitals and none of them had as good of service as the Birmingham va.
THE FOLKS AT THE VA TRY THEIR VERY BEST TO GIVE US OLE SOLDIERS THE BEST QUAILTY HEALTH CARE IN THE COU NTRY
The only bad thing was finding the parking garage. Once in dermatology clinic I found a lovely color map showind where parking is located. It would be nice to have this with the letter reminding me of the appointment. Once I saw the nurse practioner who thoroughly examined me for lesions, and the doctor it was great. When I checked out, the clerk printed out my milage voucher, and I placed it in a box by the door. Overall great visit.
