Unreliable, don't keep appointments. Tech's don't know how to fully do maintenance checks.

My AC unit went out and I called to get a repair. The service man from Unique came out and said we had to replace the blower mower and that there was biological growth built up on the blower wheel and that it would cost over $1500. He said we should consider buying a new unit. We called out some places to get estimates on a new system. When the fellow (Johnnie) from Gus and Woodrow came out, he said I think I can fix this system. He took the capacitor out and replaced it and the system started working fine. 1st class service! Unique home services did my house on Magara terrace with a carrier 14 seer and what a (GREAT JOB!) they did. From the duct cleaning right down to the home installation of the unit and the UV Light. And not to forget Chris C. they greatest of them all who sent pizza to our house for us and his crew on the day of the install.

My wife of 40 years recently passed away and I had to sell my house. Just before it was to be inspected the kitchen faucet began leaking. I called Unique Services to get a replacement faucet. When the technician arrived I was told it would cost $1,031. I foolishly agreed (I haven't been thinking clearly since my wife passed). I later realized that I was grossly overcharged and contacted the company to see if an adjustment could be made on the charge. When they arrive, the work is good. But the job is only 1/2 done Problem is yesterday we waited 7 hours for them to arrive for a very small job. Yes, it was Friday (1/24/20) and we were told they did not work on Saturday but then they agreed to have plumber here on Saturday to reconnect what they had disconnected yesterday. They gave us an 8 to noon time frame so we waited. At 11:30 they called to say "due to over committing, they will have to come on Monday 1/27/20 between 8 and noon. This has been a very difficult experience. We had an air conditioner installed and our electric bill went up to 785.00. We had just bought the house and thought there may have been issues with the meter. We called FPL to come out but due to the hurricane it took FPL over a month to come out to the house. When they came to the house they stated that whoever installed the air conditioner had the heating coil and the air conditioner both running at the same time. Unique Services installed my Daikin air conditioner 2 years ago. The unit stopped cooling in July so I called Unique who sent a service tech who reported there was a leak in the air handling coil and it was not in stock and would have to be ordered. I spoke with customer service the next day who said the part could be installed in 7 to 10 days. They sched. Serv. Maint. and don't show nor call. Not the first time. Excuse was high calls. How can that be when repair is separate from maint. svc? Appt. sched 3 weeks in advance. No other AC company does that. On top of it I called 2 days req. a supv. and still waiting.

The air went out. Bummer. Unique was recommended by a member of our condo association. Great recommendation. They called me that afternoon and set up a appointment from 5 to 10 in the evening. Not regular hours but customer service. John J. from their company arrived in a couple of hours in their time frame. Went to the outside unit after looking over system. Changed out a part and we're back in business. Cool. Great job! Very professional and pleasant tech operator. Great Company and employees. Thanks **** ******
